Ok who are you voting for and why, please let other people have there opinion. now the reason i am asking is i know nothing about the canadates i wasnt going to vote but my fire chief insist i do. so HELP

I am voting for Obama primarily because he has in him the ability to improve our country's standing with the world. The crassness with which the GOP has operated since 9/11 has been beneath this nation and its principles. I want to be a part of history by helping to elect a black man to the highest office only 44 years after the signing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Not just because he is black though, but because he is right on the economy and foreign policy. I hope you vote.
I am voting for Obama and the Democrats this year for several reasons. First, there must be an end to the War in Iraq, and refocus our energy on Afghanistan (which is where the Terrorist who attacked us on 9/11 were from). We also need a vision in the White House who wants to regain America's status in the world. Obama's foreign policy deals with securing Nuclear weapons, which should be the higest priority. During the last 8 years in which the Republicans (GOP) had control of the the White House and Congress (well at least for the 1st 6 years) have mangaged to financially ruin the United States. OBAMA is clearly better for the economony. McCain and the republicans are archaic in thinking and would severely put back our country. Another reason why I am voting Democrat this year is to ensure the balance of the Supreme Court. To ensure that there is no reversal of Women's Rights. I want to push for greater rights of the gay community. We need to fix our infrastructure problems. These are just a few reasons why I am voting for Obama and the Democrats.
