can steeling be justified
well yesterday i was working at wal-mart and i got a page to go to the food dept. well when i got there i was informed that someone was steeling food and they needed me to watch them, once i had a positive sight the L.P went in for the kill, well i thought it was over but no i was asked to go with L.P because i was the one that saw her steeling, well when i got to the office the woman was crying saying how broke she was and she had no money for food for her and her kids, now i felt like an a$$ she was hungry its ashamed that people have to steel for food that in this day in age are fellow Americans cant help one another don't get me wrong some people do but there just enough help so i ask was her steeling justified? ARE YOU HELPING your fellow Americans. and yes a dollar helps but cant you afford ten even twenty i know i can and do

No I there are a unlimited amount of people in the world who can provide assistance. Madonna once said something along the lines of-A lot of people dont say what they want, therefore they don't get it. There are always options.
I don't think I agree with Social Disaster on this one. Even in the most properous country on earth there is still poverty and in some cases extreme proverty. There are a countless number of families who go hungry every night in the United States. People are very quick to say that there are options out there and yes, there are a lot of options but there are also a lot of hoops one has to undergo to get those options. You have to ask yourself, How bad is it when one has to resort to stealing to feed their family. I had the tremendous opportunity to respond to New Orleans after Katrina hit with the US Coast Guard. And to my surprise I saw poverty unlike anything I would ever expect in the US. I felt like I was in a third world country. People without running water, or a toilet inside their homes. We saw people stealing to survive. Do you know what we did? Nothing. We never stop anyone who was taking for survival. I mean those with TVs in their shopping carts we stopped. I am saying, sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures!!
Touched by your story! ...I do what i can for others! Problem is handling ones own finances, job loss, mortgage payments, etc. I do what i can especially during COLD temps and JOY of Christmas!
STEALING is BAD...especially to support a DRUG habit! Sooo many people Need help during these times! Congress needs to put those in need ahead of AIG(others who waste our tax dollars!) Wish I had ALL the answers! PEACE!
